About Sessions

I offer sessions with individuals, couples, families and groups with variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, chronic body symptoms, addiction, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, personal growth and life transition.

My goal is to help bring out the therapist/wisdom that already exists in people. The sessions that I offer are suitable for the development in one or more of the following areas:

  ● To find practical solutions to specific issues
  ●   To build skills to find creative ways to deal with life's challenges
  ●   To cultivate larger perspectives in order to access the deeper meaning in seeming difficulties
  ●   To cultivate and enhance an understanding of one's own unique gifts and paths in life &
           to inspire personal/spiritual growth
  ●   To enhance a sense of well-being and joy

Here is an idea of what you can expect in a session with me.

Our sessions are designed to closely follow the unique style of each indiivdual or group. Where appropriate, we will draw from the following approaches:

  ● active listening
  ●   dream work
  ●   art-making
  ●   guided imagery
  ●   movement
  ●   noticing inner body sensations
  ●   role playing
  ●   psychodrama

When clients uncover the deeper meaning and wisdom behind issues, moments of insight or shifts in perspective often follow that can help resolve the original issue or improve other aspects of life.

Process-oriented counseling is not just for people with identified issues or problems. It is also for people seeking to gain deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.

The sessions also provide valuable opportunities for helping professionals who are seeking additional training and personal growth.
