What is Thanatology?

@Thanatology is the studies of death and dying. The field is interdisciplinary in nature and includes or intersects with many  fields, such as medicine, psychology, philosophy, theology, and anthropology. Among the topics that are covered in thanatology are as follows:

  @œ@biomedical ethics
     œ@pa‚Œliative care
     œ@terminal care
     œ@grief, loss, and believement
     œ@death in different cultures/times in history
     œ@death education

   Like many cultures and spiritual traditions across the world and in different times in history,  Proces-Oriented Psychology (Process Work) believes that death and dying is an essential part of individual and community life. Based on the belief that people have potential for growth and wholeness even up to the point of death, it offers approaches called Coma Work, which helps unfold and learn from different processes that the dying and their caregivers go through.
